Visitor On A Temporary Visa With Life …
--
Lately, I think more about the purpose of this life and what is it that I can offer to the world. In my teenage years it was all about my dreams and my future and everything that I wanted to be. Now, years later, as I see my child growing, my concerns range from what kind of future will he inherit and how can I make it better for him and children in general ?
A lot has changed from those childhood years of free style unsupervised fun when I was a child, to ‘safety’ as the foremost thought when we step outside. It is not my imagination but the way world has changed into. It’s lot hard to trust strangers, much as I would like to, from the stories of misuse and abuse that caution us from news channels and social media.
I want my son to inherit a world that has kindness and compassion, trust and tolerance for all its people, irrespective of their race, colour, country or background. How hard can that be, I ask. After all, we all are here on planet Earth for an unpredictable finite time and absolutely no one knows when one’s time is over.
We are here for a greater purpose, i.e to foster hope and love amongst each other and to nurture this place where we can all thrive, without fear of borders, religion, racism or unequal opportunities beyond everything else.
It’s not too hard to imagine a better world if we become that ‘one’ who brings the ray of hope to another fellow being. Each day we get moments of such opportunity to do random acts of generosity, and help people in our daily life.
In that fleeting moment when life will merge into the unknown, that way we can feel accomplished that we did our part towards the greater good and that will be our deliverance.
If we want ‘change’ we can start by being one !
Much love to everyone who reads and feels the same way. To that ‘Power’ above us who watches and guides us to our true north, thank you for this opportunity to visit planet Earth in all its magnificence.
